Project Regeneration Vol 2 is out today completing the 2 album set which encompasses the final works of Wayne Static.
Dom Lawson, writing for Blabbermouth.net says "If you loved them before, you will love them now, because this has all been done with utmost respect for Static's legacy. "Project: Regeneration Vol. 2" is satisfyingly heavy, aggressive and dark, but it's also celebratory, slightly unhinged and vastly more entertaining than anyone could have anticipated. A job well done."
If you don't have yours already, you can get it right here. Pre-orders are shipping now, downloads are in your inbox and your local record store will have it on the shelves. If you want to stream it, you can do so right here. If you haven't seen it yet, you can also watch a teaser of most of the songs on the album right here.

With the release of the upcoming album Project Regeneration: Vol. 2 just weeks away (out January 26th), industrial music icons Static-X are releasing a new music video for the song “Otsego Placebo” from Project Regeneration: Vol. 1. The song is the first piece of original music that the band created without Wayne Static. The music was written and performed by the original lineup of Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda, Ken Jay along with current vocalist/guitarist Xer0. “Otsego Placebo” was a fan-favorite from Project Regeneration: Vol. 1 and shows that Static-X is back and stronger than ever. “This is a brand-new Static-X song,” says Tony Campos, “but we approached it with the same spirit as the other songs on Project Regeneration. I really feel like we captured that old school Static-X/Evil Disco sound, even though Wayne wasn’t involved in the writing on this one. Xer0 really delivered with the vocals on this track and this is one of my favorites from the batch of these new songs.” The music video features live performance footage of the current lineup from the first leg of the incredibly popular Machine Killer tour and can be seen here.
Project Regeneration: Vol 2 was always planned as a companion piece to the original Project Regeneration: Vol 1 and the two records combined feature all of the remaining material discovered on tape of Wayne Static. The new album was produced by Xer0 and mixed/mastered by long-time collaborator Ulrich Wild. All vinyl record and digipack bundles come with a limited-edition double sleeve, which both Project Regeneration: Vol. 1 and Project Regeneration: Vol. 2 are able to slide into. This allows both albums to be housed together as the completed set they were always intended to be. Project Regeneration: Vol. 2 is now available for pre-order in various configurations including limited color vinyl, limited shirts, hoodies and more here.
The track listing for Project Regeneration: Vol. 2 is:
On the heels of the excitement about the kickoff of the first leg of the Machine Killer tour this week, Static-X are releasing another music video from the upcoming album Project Regeneration: Vol. 2. The song – “Z0mbie” - is a driving aural assault that demonstrates the Evil Disco sound Static-X is known for.
The track features Xer0 on lead vocals, with a guitar riff created by band founder Wayne Static and was recorded by the original Wisconsin Death Trip lineup of Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda and Ken Jay. The music video is an animated clip created by Makinita Silva and directed by Static-X creative director Edsel Dope. The video takes the viewer on a psychedelic, drug fueled, sex ride, featuring a host of colorful characters and is the perfect companion for the latest track from Project Regeneration: Vol. 2.
Project Regeneration Volume 2 will be released Jan 26th, 2024, just before the 2nd leg of the Machine Killer tour. Pre-order your copy and receive digital downloads of each single as they are released!

On the heels of the excitement about the recent announcement of the upcoming Fall co-headline tour, industrial music icons Static-X are releasing a music video for the first original track from the upcoming album Project Regeneration: Vol. 2. The song “Stay Alive” is one of the last original compositions Wayne Static was working on before his passing in 2014. The song’s lyrics echo Wayne’s state of mind during this tragic time, as he professes himself to be a “professional addict” and screams the words: “I just need you to survive - Cut you up to stay alive.” The track features Wayne Static on lead vocals, along with the original Wisconsin Death Trip lineup of Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda and Ken Jay. The video was directed by Static-X producer/creative director/longtime friend Edsel Dope and co-directed by Matt Zane. Outtakes from the Wayne Static “Assassins of Youth” video - originally directed by Matt Zane - were added to help fully portray Wayne’s disturbing vision for the song. According to the bands former sound engineer Eddie Ortel: “Wayne was working on this track the night that he passed away.”
“We knew that if we were going to release this song, we wouldn’t be able to tip toe around this tragic subject,” says Tony Campos. “The first draft of the video was really hard for all of us to watch, so we ended up removing many of the more graphic scenes. As dark as this piece of art may be, it is also a very honest representation of where Wayne was at during this controversial time. My hope is that when people see this, that they understand the cautionary tale that Wayne's life ultimately became and can avoid some of those pitfalls.”
“We always want to remember Wayne as the intelligent, funny, Star Trek loving, rock star,” adds Aimee Pittman - Wayne’s younger sister. “It makes his family sad and angry to see Wayne depicting himself in a way that we understand to be a realistic portrayal of his life and the choices that ultimately ended it. If one person watching this video can benefit or make better choices related to drugs and alcohol, then we are grateful for the reminder”
With the success of their last release Project Regeneration: Vol 1 and on the heels of their recent multiple city sold-out Rise Of The Machine tour, Static-X have reinvigorated their fan base and brought Evil Disco back to the masses. The original lineup of Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda and Ken Jay backed by frontman Xer0 have proven that Static-X is back and better than ever. The Rise Of The Machine tour sold out 37 of its 42 dates, while showcasing the largest stage production that Static-X has ever put together. The band promises that the production on The Machine Killer Tour is going to be even bigger and more impressive this time around. Continuing to create new music, Static-X announced Project Regeneration: Vol 2 will be released on November 3rd and unveiled the first single from that album – a cover of the Nine Inch Nails classic “Terrible Lie.” The upcoming album is produced by the band’s current vocalist/guitarist Xer0 and mixed/mastered by long-time collaborator Ulrich Wild. The new album is now available for pre-order in various configurations including limited color vinyl, limited shirts, hoodies and more. The pre-order for Project Regeneration: Vol. 2 can be found here.

“We are excited to bring the fans an even bigger and better show than the last one” says Xer0. “We are already building the new production elements and we intend to blow the roofs off of these venues each night.”
“We can’t wait to hit the road with our friends in Static-X and DOPE. It has been 24 years since the last time we have shared a stage with those guys. We can’t wait to do it again this Fall and to bring together all of our family members together in one place,” explains Lajon Witherspoon.
“We are beyond thrilled to be touring with Sevendust again” says Tony Campos. “They bring one hell of a show each and every night, so this tour is going to be one for the ages.”
"We’re excited to join our friends in Static-X and Dope who we share much history with on tour,” add Clint Lowery. “I have no doubt that this will be an extremely entertaining and high production run. The bands and the fans have much to look forward to on this one. Do not miss out!”
